    Pros

A culture dedicated in its values, its people, and its customers...The AutoZone Pledge.

    Cons

I think that the pay structure could possibly be better if out of the state of California.

    Advice to Management

Training should be pivotal with a higher expense and allow the online in store training courses available at his/her home.

    Pros

Most customers are nice The regular discount is decent Opportunity to learn a lot about cars or brush up on existing knowledge

    Cons

If you're a female, some male customers are rude about it Very low pay but expect a lot of work Have to stay on HR's back to get anything done (such as a transfer) Have had at least 3 coworkers and 2 managers try to hook up with or sexually harass me Customer harassment will likely go unchecked by store staff, even when then are aware of it Computers and software need serious updating

    Advice to Management

Be more organized Back up/protect your employees from abusive customers Learn to be appropriate in the work place and ensure others are doing the same

    Pros

Full timers, for the most part, are guaranteed their hours. As an ASM, you may lose OT based on sales.

    Cons

50 Hour weeks. Limited room for advancing career beyond having your own store. DM / Corp very competitivev.

    Advice to Management

Share the wealth. Payroll requirements leave most new zoners at minimum wage and unlivable hours/pay.

    Pros

Decent pay for the non-educated, potential for upward movement, sales bonuses for management personnel, great teaching/learning experience

    Cons

"Move the cheese" mentality, poor pay for educated individuals, disconnect between lower management and upper management, customers

    Advice to Management

Do not ignore employee complaints about customers. I left autozone because a regular customer spat in my face and no recourse was taken. Pay-outs for labor claims should be thoroughly investigated before issuing payment.

    Pros

Higher salary than many auto parts stores.

    Cons

Prepare to be micromanaged, complicated computer systems that change constantly, irregular hours, may have to work 6 days in a row just to get 20 hours for the week, training was non-existent, and do not forget to pledge yourself to the company they will. Employees have no place to turn when there is a problem.

    Advice to Management

Tell the truth to the employees before having them come aboard and follow through. Do not ignore problems being presented by employees and do nothing, company does not have a TIPS hotline available when needing to express problems within the company anonymously.

    Pros

Flexible hours, low intensity. Friendly working environment, very educational. Effecient computer programs, protocols, and organization of products. Lots of benefits including employee discount

    Cons

People /always/ come in to have you change their bulbs, batteries, and wipers 10 minutes to close in pouring rain.

    Advice to Management

More clearly define each role in the organization and their responsibilites, and following up with morning employees to put away and finish their duties.
