I have been working at AutoZone full-time

    Pros

The people in the store level are the best thing to me about Autozone. Most Store managers are flexible with your schedule.

    Cons

Compensation is minimal and raises are 25 cents to 35 cents per year for assistant managers and lower levels. Promotions from sales person to sales manager to assistant managers follow raises of less than a dollar for each position. If full time, hours may range from 32 to 40 per week; rarely 40. High turnover rate for employees.

    Cons

Once you have gained employment be prepared to stay in that.position ad long as you are there . They rather hire outsude or data zone employees in Mexico takes most of the higher paying jobs. You must be a part of the "Good Boy Network" to flurush

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Cons

worst salary to position i ever seen. Poor motivation to increase sales.
The employees must go outside regardless the weather and are not allowed to receive tips for the nob the have done.
    Dealing with mostly mean people.
Benefits are just for show, they are the the least required by law.
Overall a bad company to work for.

I worked at AutoZone full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Full time work, benefits, and steady work.

    Cons

Too much emphasis on the sale of add on and attachment items to the point of intimidation of store management and corrective write ups. Stores could be performing well, look great, and have excellent team members but without "wittdtjr" you were all failures. The sale of high margin widgets trumps all, even if it frustrates the customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

While profits are important, please consider that those that you employ are also humans and potential customers. Having a strong sales culture is great but having a mature, well seasoned store staff that caters to your customer base and has a strong presence in the community may be better. High turnover and untrained staff cannot be as productive.

    Cons
