Pros
Time off when needed, pushed to excel but not beyond capabilities. Honor, Integrity, Fairness play key roles in operational business decissions in regards with customers and employees.
Cons
Hard to get promoted/noticed unless you are one of the "old" crew from up north.
Business is in serious growing stage, which unfortunately makes holes in other areas of support.
OSRs are what get the phones ringing, Store personnel get credit for the sales.
Advice to Senior Management
Need to truly empower the store personnel to take ownership of the store. This is preached, but only in a few rare circumstances is this heeded. Change pay plan for OSRs, why should store manager bonus off my work and get credit - while i get neither?
Pros
Regular work hours.
No random days off.
You always get an actual weekend.
Occasional overtime offered.
Plenty of management personnel on hand.
Cons
Management personnel either have no idea how to resolve problems or are unwilling to exert the mental effort required to do so.
Promotions tend to be handed out to people that are not qualified or are friends of senior management, (liking golf is a big plus.)

Concerns raised by employees can at many times be expected to be met with sarcasm, condescension or to be ignored outright.
If you get hurt, no matter how it occurred, you are always viewed as at fault. and if an injury happens to occur, you may then consider yourself a liability in the company's eyes.
Knowing the "right" person to speak to about an issue is too important. A Supervisor should be enough.
The H.R. department is a complete joke. (They really should just come out and say that they side with the company on everything.)
Employees are constantly reminded that they can be replaced easily.
Compensation is below average at best.
Advancement from the warehouse sector to the office sector is met with strong opposition.
Managers and supervisors may note an individual's abilities and talents, but they never make an effort to help that person move to a department that those abilities may be more suited for.
Employee shortcomings are highlighted and broadcast at times, while employees that work hard are rarely recognized outwardly.
Warehouse employees are treated with distrust.
Executive management wants to see numbers, not the people that make them happen.
Senior warehouse management is viewed more in fear than respect. And they seem to like it that way.
Employee of the month is usually a silent affair.
Management seems to actively look for ways to be able to terminate an employee, especially if that employee is on the upper end of the pay cap.
Advice to Senior Management
Appreciate your employees and reward them for their work. Keeping your job is NOT an incentive to work harder.
Encourage employees to move further with the company, that is the only way the company will grow as a good place to work.
Employees that are allowed to be themselves rather than robots tend to be happier and look forward to going to work instead of dreading it.
Pros
never in one place. can get a day off whenever needed.
Cons
never expect any more money an hour. always be told that someone needs something right away even tho you get paid no more to be in a hurry. lose all sick time and vacation time at the end of the year with no fair warning. having counter people getting bonused for safe drivers - when the drivers get nothing. full timers gt paid the same as part timers.
Advice to Senior Management
pay the drivers more since we are half of the business.
Pros
Not stuck in the same place all day.
Cons
Employees treated unfairly. Expected to lie daily. Going above and beyond job description unnoticed and discouraged.
