    Pros

Pay is fair, lots of opportunity for advancement. Huge company so if you're not happy with your position, there are plenty of other opportunities within the group. Great team and morale all around.

    Cons

One of the cons is also one of it's pros. Making your own schedule and being self disciplined can be difficult but if done right can make the job that much better. Sometimes the territory you are assigned may be far away from your home but not too bad.

    Pros

Very collaborative and gives a lot of value to employee satisfaction. Good work life balance. Free lunches and lots of team building activities.

    Cons

Slow paced work environment and need to ramp up the use of technology for day to day activities especially for sales professionals on the road

    Pros

At one time was a pioneer in the space and paid it's reps as such.

    Cons

Currently bogged down by multiple project and cost cutting measures they have lost significant numbers of quality reps.

    Advice to Management

Focus on retaining the higher paid and more fully developed reps.

    Pros

Work from home model was great....

    Cons

Executive level management disconnected from reality in the field. Too many leadership changes, executives focused more on their political ladder climbing than working with field management. Company seems to be flushing out tenured employees at all levels. Work / life balance is a joke. Maybe for the employees at corporate but not for the field.

    Advice to Management

Be aware of the insecurities of the field sales people due to all of the executive shuffling taking place in ATL. Most salespeople live under constant fear, pressure of losing jobs.

    Pros

Good benefits, decent pay, great coworkers, and volunteer opportunities.

    Cons

This used to be a GREAT company under the old leadership of Chip Perry. However, once Chip left the company took a nose dive. Micro management, no good leadership, no policy or procedures set in place. You have to be in the know to advance, management has no loyalty to their employees ( they start and end the gossip! and forget about going to HR...it's a joke). Most employees are stressed to the point of no return.

    Advice to Management

Provide your employees with "Real" training to succeed at their job, provided "Real" advancement opportunities for your dedicated employees and stop letting managers bring their friends from outside. Last but defiantly not least Get rid of ALL middle management and start over!

    Pros

Great corporate environment. They put a lot into training their staff (and also offer many additional training classes for everyone to make sure they have a solid understanding of the business).

    Cons

Salary a bit low and they expect that you will make it up in commission. The competition is biting at their heels and the comp. plan keeps changing. The dealer's are dropping like flies due to the fact that AutoTrader is much more expensive than any of the newer competitors. Hard to keep dealers on the program. This impacts commissions. Out of an initial training class of 11, 3 of us have left and two others are looking. You really need a automotive background.

    Pros

Great products that produce results. Ability to move up quickly if motivated and successful. Great pay potential, especially for those starting out.

    Cons

Just growing pains, some inexperience in leadership roles which could lead to frustration for more seasoned sales professionals as newer team leaders grow into their roles.

    Advice to Management

Keep offering opportunities for promotions and growth, great company to grow in. Look into differentiating more in how large and smaller markets are compensated.
