    Pros

    Nothing pro about this company.

    Cons

Working 12 hour shifts and having no weekends off. There is not much communication in this place. The pay raise is dumb by a number system,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No communication on things like telling us 2 months before the end of the year we are going 12 hour shifts next year.

    Pros

The stock has been going up because the CEO focuses on squeezing every penny of cost out and is quick to dump any business that he thinks is not cutting it. If you can get some stock that is where you can see some income upside.

    Cons

100% financially driven. Employees are tools to meet the numbers. If you are happen to be in a group where the business looks good to the CEO you may be OK but if the business softens at all or your in an area that he doesn't think is up to his standards you should keep your resume up to date. The challenge that creates is that everyone seems to look out for themselves and erodes any team environment quickly.

I have been working at Avago Technologies full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Avago purchased LSI Logic Storage group in 2014. LSI front office management, marketing and architecture team was let go, resulting in a relatively flat management organization. That's a plus. OEM customer business remains strong. Engineers are involved in key projects for the biggest names in the server market. New Avago upper management (the CEO) is very engaged and supportive of LSI products and projects. Budgets are realistic; you can purchase what you need to do your job.

    Cons

Product schedules are very aggressive, but realistically targeted to OEM and industry product releases. Typically driven by Intel futures. Quality management and software metrics are unfortunately driven to excess, often counter productive. Software tool infrastructure is often too restrictive as well. Needs to be replaced with modern tools.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It remains to be seen how LSI benefits will change when merged with Avago benefits in 2015. Eyes are watching.

    Pros

Pays well and has decent bonus structure. I'm still unsure of any pro's in the values and leadership department

    Cons

Significantly less vacation than my previous employer. Also, there is little to no reward system in place for acknowledging co-workers.

I have been working at Avago Technologies full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Avago purchased LSI earlier this year. Good news was that some of the less productive employees and managers were left go.

    Cons

Bad news is that new managements focus seems to be on trivia. They let good people go, but they have manpower enough to monitor who badges in every morning or works from home. Seems like management has more important issues to deal with

    Pros

Reasonable payout and bonuses. Some divisions are very supportive.

    Cons

Middle sales management is taking the company down. They work towards their benefits, not the company and upper management actually listened to them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management needs to listen to the people who are actually doing the work.

I have been working at Avago Technologies full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Senior managers are in Asia or California most of the year

    Cons

Senior Managers (VP and up) take action without knowledge of the impact in the area of change.
It is very clear they don't care about the people who work for them
We are all just $ on a spreadsheet sorted by yearly cost and age.
If you are over 50 watch out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop micromanaging from the top. Grow up.. if the jobs gets done on time, and on budget congratulate the team that makes the success that pays your 40 million dollar paycheck. Managing working from home at the CEO level is beyond belief. CEO reminds me of "Neutron Jack Welch" .. after he visits the buildings are still standing, but there are no people left inside. Sort by yearly cost per employee, and fire from the top down....... nice .....
