    Pros

    if you work as required you can get the amount of hours you want, residents are great and can give you many cheerful moments and memories

    Cons

    alot of times census is down and they have alot of turnover in administration

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    need someone at the top to take control and set rules the same for all employees. If everyone is treated with the same respect more people will want to work and like their jobs.

    I worked at Avante full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    On the Corporate level, they are doing the best that they can. Lots of great nurses and cnas that care about the patients.

    Cons

    There aren't many advancement opportunities. There is favortism amongst the managers. Some bad behaviors overlooked for years and employees that should have been reprimanded, instead praised. Removal of the Human Resources Manager position was a poor choice as this multi-faceted role was left for the Administrator and other staff to handle. Staff shuffled around frequently to accomodate upper management without taking into consideration the staff's preference or choice. Turnaround is high, therefore causing other staff to ALWAYS work overtime or pick up extra shifts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Corporate needs to send in moles on the facility level to come back to them and share TRUE experiences. Surveys aren't very helpful becuase even though they may be anonymous, staff feel they will be retaliated against. And when Corporate does enter the building, staff know and are then on their best behavior. It would be best to TRULY hear what is going on in your buildings from someone that experiences it first hand.
