Pros
I obtained a lot of good job experience in the Java/J2EE area. I enjoyed working with most of my coworkers. The job, in addition to a good salary, also had good benefits such as generous vacation and 401K benefits.
Cons
Avaya has off shored a lot of their software engineering, Q/A, and production support positions to lower cost areas such as India and China. It became rather depressing to survive ten years of FMPs.

Pros
The ability to work on cool projects and do some real research and development work. You get to see the software you work on and build actually help and improve customer's day to day communication inside and outside of their company. They are working hard to make it an enjoyable place to work. It is a very diverse company, so you get to work with people from all over the world.

Stability is always a bit in question working here. You never feel any real security that your job will be around in six months.
Advice to Senior Management
Of all the CEOs I've worked under, I really like Kevin Kennedy. He seems to be really open and I like his coaching style. He sends out emails that I actually like to read and feel are worthwhile and educational in reading. He recently sent out an email about meetings and what type of meeting participant you are at meetings - great email!
Pros
