I have been working at Avery Dennison full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Average to above average salary. Global company, travel available if you are interested. Lot of great people .

    Cons

Too many reorgs / layoffs, mainly because top line not being grown. Focus usually around cost cutting. Company and stock is doing well as of late though so hopefully less reorgs for near future.

    Advice to Management

Look more within for filling positions. Some good people are stagnating, new positions and responsibilities need to be reviewed / offered regularly with employees.

I have been working at Avery Dennison (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very Good Place to work, plus the benefit package is the best.

    Cons

Unsure if top management really understands the back end of production, and if they really care. Moving the RBIS print production out of the US was a bad mistake, for everyone.

    Advice to Management

RBIS needs to think about more print / variable data production in the US, instead Mexico, and El Salvador production sites.

    Pros

The company provides competitive pay and decent benefits. There is opportunity to earn commission in certain positions.

    Cons

Being expected to work seven days a week, 24 hours a day, even while on vacation. There's no real leadership. No real job definitions. No opportunity for growth

    Advice to Management

It isn't enough just to listen to your employees complaints and concerns. You actually have to do something about it.
