I have been working at Avis Budget Group full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Union, but they need to be stronger and they need to wake up! Time is running out!
Cons – There are so many, I don't know where to begin! I don't really think that Ron Nelson and regional management is the cause of all of the problems, at this location local management laughs at Ron Nelsons policies! You must become a member of their team in order to have longevity, that is how they operate. Once you are on their team you will be rewarded with many different fringe benefits through favoritism. All of these team members are the employees who are very proficient at butt kissing and backstabbing for treats, so beware! This is destroying the company and local management is the cause of all of these problems, they are out to make a name for themselves and they think that these tactics along with using the weak job market as a tool to bully and demoralize the employees will accomplish this for them. Their team members also think that they will rise in stature.
Advice to Senior Management – Rolling Pride will never build morale and move the company forward when you have unethical soulless local management teams who believe the 70's style of management is the way to go! Fire these management teams, this includes the City Manager and start over! HR is a joke, you need to start over there too! Put in place employment tests that will clearly show the personality traits and thinking processes of the person you are considering for a management position, that will give you a look inside their world and enable you to see and recognize their illusions for what they are. The greatest asset you have are your front line employees who come to work every day in the freezing cold of the Winter and the searing heat of the Summer and perform their task with pride giving the customers the highest quality possible! Stand by and protect your assets, the rewards are limitless...
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
