RSA. The position is not what you are told it will be.

    RSA (Current Employee)
    Norfolk, VA

ProsYou can make money but you will be taxed si heavy on commission it will hardly be worth it. There are Grey areas when making money, which management will both encourage and and discipline you for, then encourage again.

ConsPoor management. Favoritism and backstabbing all at the same time. No communication. In effort to save money the company will cut corners everywhere. This impacts the ability to have cars available. No room for growth. Management no where to be seen some days. No work life balance. Schedules suck. Unrealistic performance expectations lead to rampant unethical behavior.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement should be on the same page. You should be available and do your job. Be honest with the employee about what they are signing on for.

Good opportunity for college graduate if you want no free time, management threats, and a crazy amount of paper work.

    Operations Manager (Former Employee)

    ProsCompany vehicle and that's it.

Cons1 manager to watch 30 employees is crazy. Responsible for more reports than possible to handle. 50+ hours minimum per week and no work life-balance. Very poor leadership and communication from everyone when in peak seasons. Poor quarterly bonuses even if location is doing excellent. To much gossip from sales associates which should not be allowed.

Advice to Senior Managementbetter work-life balance. Lets managers do their job as described when initially hired. Hire an admin person for reports and let managers focus on the important part...sales.

ProsDescent benefits & corporate discounts. Very casual work clothes (shorts in the summer time, jeans in the winter). Descent annual bonuses based on how the company did over all.

ConsPromotions are hard to get & transferring out is hard as well. There is a lot of favoritism in different departments.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpper management needs to stay in their offices during regular business hours. Some managers come and go when they please. Most management also needs to be available to their employees when a "supervisory" call becomes available.

    Swindle and be swindled

    Rental Sales Agent (Current Employee)
    Chicago, IL

ProsTHE MONEY IS AMAZING!!!! As a RSA. Learn how to "persuade" people to upgrade and buy insurance and this is THE BEST company to work for. Stay for a year or so make as much as you can and GTFO lbvvvvvvvs!

ConsEVERYTHING ELSE. The leadership and team are all back stabbing and sneaky. I should know I became drenched in the disgusting culture of the company. Everyone knows the evil backbone of this company yet no one does anything.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet out! Step down and allow good clean hard working people who care about customers to replace you.

Great place for someone just starting a career

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsWonderful work environment. It's a great place for someone just out of school.

ConsSalary and annual raises are not comparable to experience or individual performance.

Advice to Senior ManagementIndividual performance should have some weight on raise increases and bonuses.

Enjoyed my time at ABG, but the new North American SLT is more concerned with appearances than results.

    Director (Former Employee)
    Parsippany, NJ

ProsFun job, great people. CEO Ron Nelson is a rock star who has led the company incredibly well and made genius acquisitions.

ConsThe political environment in the North American group is unbelievable, Pres decides if he likes you or not and they boys take it from there.

Advice to Senior ManagementDitch the emphasis on politics and measure the individual, not how much they appear to agree with you.

    Good company to work for.

    Bus Operator (Former Employee)
    Denver, CO

ProsThey can give you a work schedule to meet your needs. Very fair in the pay with bonuses. Great working conditions if you like Denver weather. I think it is awesome. Coworkers are supportive to the new employees.

ConsThe management only looks at negative things, forgetting positive things that you have done for the company.

Advice to Senior ManagementCommunicate better within management so everyone is on the same page.
