I have been working at Avis Budget Group full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The work place is like my extended family and the career advancement opportunities are phenomenal in the sales organization. I started working for Avis Budget Group while in college and I want to retire at Avis Budget Group.

    Cons

Rental car is an industry that only has three true players and with competitor efforts to make rental car more of a commodity you have a very challenging sale. That being said you will not find a more supportive and collaborative work environment where you have access to all the tools to be successful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep challenging the status quo and keep leading the industry in technological and company culture advancements.

I have been working at Avis Budget Group full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Good work life balance, young office, understanding and intelligent management, appreciative upper management that values young employees.

There is a reason company stock has more than doubled in the last year. Management at World Headquarters sincerely cares about their employees. Upper management values and rewards young talent. Departments are rewarded extremely well for performance. The pricing department took a free trip to Atlantic City to celebrate exceptional outperformance of yearly goals.

    Cons

Pay in some departments is highly bonus based.

I have been working at Avis Budget Group

    Pros

Pay is good, benefits are excellent. Interview process is very straightforward, and exceptionally well organized. Training is all immediately useful, and is tailored for the position. Supervisors/managers are competent, and friendly people, who know their jobs in and out, and probably mine too, but they are constructive criticizers, and do not hesitate to tell someone they're doing a great job. Very much a family atmosphere.

    Cons

I don't believe there are any

    Pros

If you are a dedicated and motivated worker, you will get noticed, company promotes mostly from within.

    Cons

Improvement can be slow and Innovation stagnant due to power struggles and hierarchical issues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Avis Budget Group full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Driving around the newest and most expensive cars, can make good commission, management will work with you with almost everything. Can make overtime if you need it.

    Cons

No room to advance unless you are in a big city. Can get very stressful when cars are running low and you have a line of 30-40 people. Also, whoever closes has to wait for the late flight at 12:30 and if any flights are delayed they must stay as well even if it's 3 or 4 am.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have some type of management training program or some way to move up without having to relocate. Also, better pay, the work is very stressful and does not equal the pay.

    Neutral Outlook
