I worked at Avis Budget Group full-time

    Pros

Company car, (which means free gas, no car note, or insurance) with the ability to travel from state to state in the company car and fill up on gas at a different Avis/Budget rental car location (airport). Quarterly bonus based on compliance with achieving previous year goals. Yearly annual review on yourself, then providing it to city manager, the review determines a pay increase. Confidence- will train and develop you into the position you are offered

    Cons

    1. Long hours you have to work about 10 or more hours a day on a salary pay rate. So you are only getting paid for 8 hours. 2. Company car- although it is a perk to drive a new car whenever you want, because you work such long hours, on your off day you are going to be tired. You are technically paying for your company car with all the free hours you work. 3. Climbing the ladder- its all about who you know. If a person in corporate with a high position likes you personally then you will move up. "Its about who you know not what you know",

    Advice to Management

Management are like the meat in between the two slices of bread on a sandwich. Corporate being the top and employees being the bottom. Realize that your managers that want to move up and improve the operation should be rated based on their qualities and not based on who likes you.

    Pros

Best part is the freedom you get and being able to drive brand new vehicles daily.

    Cons

The pay is not great. Management at this location cannot make positive decisions in favor of its employees. Hours are extremely inflexible. Discounts don't apply to those under a certain age even though they offer it as a benefit and hire people 16+.

    Advice to Management

Your employees are the most important piece to a business. Learn from them, they know more than you think.

    Pros

Company car and benefits are very good. During Mtc the job is great and you work 9 to 5 with company car, gas and insurance. After 6 months it becomes impossible. The computer system goes down every Saturday and you already don't have cars for customers. Explaining to them why there reservation we booked 6 months ago means nothing is the worst.

    Cons

Working 80 hour weeks with no cars!

    Advice to Management

Show how you appreciate your employees
