    Pros

Sadly none, once all of the stress and physical ailments are factored into the equation, because there is nothing positive to speak about Avis.

    Cons

Everything: tactless people, absurd odds faced daily, no communication, severe lack of camaraderie, horrific management, misplaced employees, no opportunity for growth, bad base, never changing, pay, adverse weather conditions, injuries, and thousands of other issues

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire individuals with MBA's, MSOL's and post-graduate degrees that will effectively shift your economic and personnel outcomes. Stop hiring the people who procrastinate to such an extent that their non-preparation becomes the bane of every employees life. Also hire operation managers that have College degrees and are sociable. Socially awkward, parasites, who harp on money more than common sense.

    Pros

Health insurance and having a job that was it

    Cons

This company promotes stealing from customer. A person stole from the company there and gave free cars to his buddies by simply non charging the contracts, once it was reported and there was enough proof out there, he was simply taken his lead title away. However, other people who were great worker and did their all were fired after they defended themselves being physically assaulted by customers. The cars are never available and the sales team rents them out anyways and the customer service has to deal with it. Don't waste your time

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire the crooks and train your management. Not 23 year old boys being buddies with their employees on facebook. not to mention dating their staff. Just disgusting

    Pros

The benefits were okay in terms of paid vacation and sick days. You also got a couple paid personal days.

    Cons

High turnover, management was never on the same page, poorly managed fleet, and lot's of favoritism. Expectations for sales were very high, and grey areas were encouraged, until grey areas weren't. You never really knew when that would happen. And then when you adhere to that and sales went down, grey areas encouraged again. No consistency. Don't work in an area dictated by government, as you're commission will take hard hits, especially during the times of no grey areas. Even though government contracts kill your numbers, they are still factored in your commission. Well played, Avis, well played. They get the same results and now they have to pay out less. Brilliant. You will go nowhere, although the pay for operations management sucks in exchange of what they ask of you. The hours are ridiculous, so don't have kids or a family and work there. The most poorly and mismanaged company in terms of operations that I have ever seen. They will do anything to cut corners to meet a bottom line that enhances only the very top of the company. And your commission will get emptied out quickly by taxes, depending on what state you live in.

I have been working at Avis Budget Group (more than 3 years)

    Pros

None. The sooner you get out of there the better. The sooner customers know their dirty tricks the better.

    Cons

Sit back and listen to the reality of Avis Budget. You will need a psychologist, because of the anxiety and depression while working with them. Forget morals and values once you join. This people only cares about company revenues, If you dont do the "wheel", list of sentences meant to confuse the client, they put you in the red call list and you are fired. Customers are treated like stupids and the only mission of the employees is to put additional products to their clients to receive commisions. If they can not add any extra to your contract, they put it without telling you because otherwise they are fired. There is a rpd goal per office. For example 10 Eur, each employee has to take from every customer everyday that amount, if you dont reach that amount ...you are put into a "red list".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I hope one day all customers realice how you treat them, like cattle, and dont rent with you anymore. Stop putting employees into excell sheet with rpd, stop doing the power hours, stop doing auditions to every employee 8 hours a day. One day all this information, with proofs we are collecting, will see the light in the news and you will pay for all the psychological traumas we are suffering because of working with you.
