    Pros

I chose to work for Avis Budget Group because my position allows me to enjoy my job, without the hassle of someone always watching over you. It seemed like a friendly, fast-paced work environment, so I decided to go for it! I also get to test drive so many different cars, which is pretty cool.

    Cons

Can't really complain that much, sometimes I wish it was more than part time.

    Pros

company car, i'm supossed to enter at least five words for pros but there are not any more.

    Cons

management, hours, expected to work 10+ hours everyday with no breaks, salary, lack of "on the job training," terrible atmosphere, and HR department. Terrible company to work for.

    Advice to Management

be better and nicer, stop pretending you are better than everyone else, your company will loose everything if you keep treating employees and customers the way you do. I feel sick and taken advantage of still by this horrible experience.

    Pros

A lot of down-time as a rental agent. I got to sit around for at least 3 hrs a day doing absolutely nothing. Nice commission checks if you're willing to rip people off. I was getting on average $1,000+ in commission alone every month, but keep in mind I was in the top 5% percentile in my region.

    Cons

Turnover rate is extremely high in car rental. No opportunity for growth within the company. The company will hire anyone; they usually post ads on Craigslist looking for candidates. Basically what that means is you'll be working with "bottom of the barrel" people. Also a very fierce sales environment. If you don't hit your target sales 3 months in a row, you're out. Definitely not a place to build a career. I'd recommend to stay away from car rental at all costs unless your back is against the wall and you need a quick paycheck. Car rental is a very shady business and undoubtedly not for honest good people. The culture there is awful. Rental agents are praised for ripping customers off

    Advice to Management

Management doesn't have the power to change anything

    Pros

The work place is like my extended family and the career advancement opportunities are phenomenal in the sales organization. I started working for Avis Budget Group while in college and I want to retire at Avis Budget Group.

    Cons

Rental car is an industry that only has three true players and with competitor efforts to make rental car more of a commodity you have a very challenging sale. That being said you will not find a more supportive and collaborative work environment where you have access to all the tools to be successful.

    Advice to Management

Keep challenging the status quo and keep leading the industry in technological and company culture advancements.

the rental counter is like every man for themselves, they are all shady and they like to hide from the bad customers and force others to take the rental

    Pros

Pay is good, benefits are excellent. Interview process is very straightforward, and exceptionally well organized. Training is all immediately useful, and is tailored for the position. Supervisors/managers are competent, and friendly people, who know their jobs in and out, and probably mine too, but they are constructive criticizers, and do not hesitate to tell someone they're doing a great job. Very much a family atmosphere.

    Cons

I don't believe there are any

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.
