I worked at Aviva full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    - it was a job

    Cons

    - low pay
    - disorganized supervisors
    - not enough training

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked as a residential counselor in the group home for girls. There wasn't much training and every day felt so disorganized. Nobody really knew what was going on until the last minute. I was only there for three months, but even in that time, they couldn't even remember how to pronounce my name! I have a simple, easy name to remember and I think it is perhaps the easiest way to show someone respect and appreciation. They couldn't even take the time to do that for me.

I have been working at Aviva full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

They have a good health plan, and there are good people in the non-management roles.

    Cons

Employees are disrespected. Pay is terrible. I'm applying to other companies i am making $20,000 - $30,000 less than I am worth according to my job description

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The Aviva Board really needs to look at the kind of leadership that Aviva has. From the CEO (Regina Betty to senior administration there is a sense of entitlement. There is an extremely high rate of turnover because employees are so dissatisfied.
