Pros
- Senior managers are very competent leaders and strategists (most of them at least).
- Opportunity to work with professionals from different backgrounds
Cons
- Considerably flat personal structure, making it very difficult if not impossible to rise in responsibilities in certain departments.
- Role of certain departments is neglected despite their obvious participation in company's success.
- Printed media are slowly moving towards demise.
Advice to Senior Management
- In my opinion, the leaders of Axel Springer are doing already good job, although perhaps some procedures regarding personal growth should be verified. Otherwise Axel Springer is not going to attract the most talented employees.
Pros
Some great employees in every division. Successful products. Innovative, respectful, professsional.
Cons
Chaotic decision processes. Very mood driven. Strong will needed to be heard.
Advice to Senior Management
Upper management should leave out personal preferences when making company decisions.
Pros
Axel Springer is a major company and still paying quiet acceptable salaries.
Cons
Media managers are depressed about the economic development of all media companies. So there is a high pressure on the employees. Most people want to stick like glue to their jobs.
