I have been working at Axia full-time

    Pros

Axia consultants pride themselves on high-value, compelling and actionable recommendations. We take our work seriously and believe the end product reflects an unbiased, implementable recommendation. The company feels more like a family. We have fun. You'll work hard, but will constantly be challenged by new business problems, challenges and industries. Promotions are merit-based.

    Cons

Smaller companies don't have the resources of the larger consultancies.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Axia

    Pros

The people are friendly, accommodating, appreciate your input/feedback, and are easy to get along with

Very good work/life balance - almost never any weekend work

Advancement opportunities exist - can be promoted to consultant before 2 years and then advance up the ranks

    Cons

    No name brand
    Lower salaries than bigger competitors
    Knowledge sharing/management is terrible
Limited client base - in downturn, if current clients don't want to spend $ on consultants, then you could spend a good amount of time on the beach

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Bump up base salaries somewhat

    Recommends
