I have been working at Azusa Pacific University full-time

    Pros

Staff members that I work with are wonderful and supportive of each other. Benefits are very good.

    Cons

Faculty in the most renowned department treat their staff like slaves. No reviews are given, no salary increases, no opportunities for growth. Even though staff are told they can't get an increase, the department gives increases generously to the faculty and spends money on decorating the office/buying new furniture. To say it is very discouraging is an understatement. It is also quite a challenge to get the department to use modern technology as well. Get with the times! It's 2015!

    Advice to Management

Give your staff pay increases and a career path, just like the faculty. Acknowledge their accomplishments and treat them as equals.

I worked at Azusa Pacific University part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The colleagues are trust worthy and very knowledgeable and approachable. The facilities are also nice and their systems are top notch.

    Cons

A very religious organization only work here if you want to hear people talking about God everyday.

    Advice to Management

The management should try to provide more training and continuing education to all their employees and should also focus on respecting the differences and diversity in their employees.

I worked at Azusa Pacific University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The university really cares about its employees, students, and greater community. They believe in the success of every individual and make it possible!

    Cons

The university is still growing and changing and is a little behind in business processes in some ways. It is very different than working in the private sector, and some things do not happen quickly enough.

    Advice to Management

    Keep investing in your employees!
