    Pros

Upper Management very good people. Good environment and no one bothers you. Very good benefits.

    Cons

Slow to get promoted. A lot of politics when determining who is getting promoted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't assume a younger employee is not qualified to be a supervisor.

    Inmates run the asylum

I have been working at B.F. Saul Property Company full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

History of company. Terrific President. Great EVP Ops, That's where it all starts to fall apart

    Cons

As long as you let the inmates get their way, you can survive. this company takes 'caring for employees' to the cliff and pushes their managers overboard. Everyone complains to HR for even the slightest issue (schedule) and then the hammer comes crashing down. So much interference, its impossible to run a department or hotel. If you push back on the employee, you get fired.

As long as you are okay letting the employees run the place and not being efficient or effective, take the job. This is a great environment for mediocrity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Re-evaluate your HR interference in running the properties. Your manager cannot be effective if the corporate office accepts socio-path employees!

The shifts are awkwardly timed. Shifts range from 7am - 3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to communicate better with front desk associates.

I worked at B.F. Saul Property Company

    Pros

Good benefits and job security, decent pay raises, good management heirarchy, feeling of being part of the family for most part.

    Cons

Little room for growth, location is expensive and lots of traffic, some employees are lazy and unprofessional, poor communcation from management about important issues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I can't say much - in this economy you are pretty good compared to other employers. I would say not to waste people's time with dumb HR things and meetings and such.
