    Pros

Large company with good track record (mostly) and they offer good benefits. Local office is very helpful and treats employees well.

    Cons

They are a large company and sometimes it feels as if you are a number and not a person. As contractors, stressful when it is time for contract renegotiation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Direct supervisor- I appreciate your hard work and consistent efforts.
Upper management- remember that ALL employees are people and deserve respect.

I worked at BAE Systems UK full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

-Very flexible schedule while I went to school
-I enjoyed the work I did
-Nice severance package when I was laid-off

    Cons

-Did not seem to care all that much about a project that was the most stable income. Never aggressively shopped it around to try and sell to other companies.
-Future of this location looked very uncertain if it would last.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hopefully civilian products are in the future to provide a more steady income to the company.

I worked at BAE Systems UK

    Pros

Great coworkers and good leadership with great opportunities. A very deverse company that maintains a central focus - Take care of the employees who will take care of the customer and business. Internal training and upward mobility available.

    Cons

Too many layers of management bureaucracy that sometimes slows needed expedient actions. Need more centralized control with more decentralized management actions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Always listen more to the employees and put yourself in their shoes. Without employees there is no need for management.

I have been working at BAE Systems UK

    Pros

As a small subsidiary of a very large corporate a great opportunity to work in a "small" environment with the benefits of a large company

    Cons

Being part of a large company can really slow things down and make it difficult for a small company to respond quickly to changing market conditions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

stay hungry; stop thinking about doing and just do it; the "i" doesn't have to be dotted and the "t" crossed for everyone to understand and move forward
