ProsPeople and resources to truly shape strategy; financial management of the company is excellent.

ConsIt's big, networking is extremely important in order to be able to get things done. Processes are complicated at times, decision making slow, but this is getting better.

Great place for a "job", but not a great place for a "career"

    (Former Employee) Florham Park, NJ

Pros- Great benefits, especially 401k and tuition reimbursement.

    - Flexible hours and good work/life balance

    - Big company that is up-to-date on technology (SAP in particular)

Cons- Very limited growth potential due to company size.

    - Surprisingly low pay, especially for a company this big, but that could have been the department I was working in and not representative of the company as a whole.

    - Lots of politics and finger pointing. Not a trustworthy environment.

    - Very old management style. Middle managers and managers do not care about employees as much as they should.

    - Despite being a very large and profitable company, not very well known (or not as known as they should be).

Advice to Senior ManagementGet younger in the management side of things. Despite the company being ahead of curve with technology, the older managers are stuck in their ways, and not as open to new ideas as they should be.

    Worth a look

    Zeolite (Current Employee) Seneca, SC

ProsGood pay, good benefits. Most leads have the right attitude. Permitted space to work for the most part, guidance available when needed. Safety is a priority and production takes a back seat in most cases.

ConsCliques exist although they are not that noticeable. Working with chemicals has its hazards. Standards do not apply to everyone. Night shift can be difficult. 12 Hour shifts can be difficult.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore hiring slots for the temps. We should be able to fully staff with hired on workers. It is hard to keep a good temp worker at 12.50 an hour with no holiday pay or overtime for holidays and no benefits.

    Great development opportunities!

    Manager (Current Employee) Raleigh, NC

ProsMany ways to grow your career
    Thorough development strategy
    Global networking
Top leadership requires all employees to have a development plan
Managers AND employees are trained on how to develop

Consnot all managers buy into the philosophy...and there are no consequences - except to the employees that report to them

Advice to Senior ManagementAdd accountability and pick better managers

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
