I worked at BAYADA Home Health Care full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility, nice people. Some clients nice and actually want you there, most do not.

    Cons

Not enough training for new staff. Sort of throw you in with a sink or swim mentality. Expect 24/7 accessability. Blowing up the phone day, night, & weekends. Low pay for the amount of time spent working after you are done for the day. Sometimes 3-4 hours of charting at home just to do it all over again.

    Advice to Management

Provide better mentorship for new staff, don't lie to get people to join your staff. Provide better pay or expect less from full time staff.

    • Culture & Values

    Pros

Room for advancement, work atmosphere, employee appreciation events, competitive environment (That can be a pro or a con to some) easy to communicate with upper management, internal recruitment

    Cons

Pricey benefits, some field staff members aren't too reliable, lack of professionalism with some field staff, high turnover both in the office and field. (some is due to internal transfers which is a good thing)

I worked at BAYADA Home Health Care (More than a year)

    Pros

Great for NA to gain experience before heading into nursing school/hospital job.

    Cons

Underpaid, little hours. Unkept promises of travel expenses.Must work 200hrs (2 years part time) before you meet requirements for benefits.

    Advice to Management

When you say you'll pay for travel time that doesn't mean 1/2 of your hourly salary. $4 does not cover 120mi worth of driving, even in the most fuel efficient vehicle.

I have been working at BAYADA Home Health Care (More than a year)

    Pros

By far the best organization I have worked for. This is a mission driven organization that has all of the resources and advantages of a major corporation but remains a family owned business and hasn't lost that feeling. I'm sure not everyone's experience will be perfect but Bayada really does strive to make sure that the company's mission and values, The Bayada Way, drive daily operations in every office.

    Cons

The employee's weekly contributions for health insurance is rather high and the coverage is not exceptional with high deductibles.

    Advice to Management

Remain a family business - never have shareholders to answer to, never sell out.

I worked at BAYADA Home Health Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Mostly nice people. Weekly pay. That's all. If you like working for free, work here!

    Cons

No one ever knows what's going on, and lord forbid you ask a manager for advice- you get your head chopped off and dirty looks. Very disorganized company. People dropped like flies (including me) due to low pay and NO WORK LIFE BALANCE. If you don't work for free, and stay all hours of the night for free, you're treated like you're the lowest of the low. The technology is the worst I had ever seen. There are many other cons. I was encouraged to write this as a warning to anyone looking to fill a support role so you're not duped and lied to like everyone else is. Some of the reviews on here are laughable and fake. Bayada will do anything to market their image as the best and excellent when it's really a bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off not knowing a dang thing because there are too may roles one has to fill. They milk you for every last drop. Good luck.

    Advice to Management

Get organized, get new technology, get real, get a life and go home at reasonable time, stop with the awards shenanigans and pay your employees better. You have the money, cheapos.
