I worked at BBH Global as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Exciting creative environment to work in. Creative Directors that want your best work and fight for it. Really nice people as well, and a really great part of the city to work in.

    Cons

I truly cannot think of any cons, I suppose it would be working in New York City, one of the most expensive cities to work in the world. I suppose a con could be how expensive a cup of coffee is around the corner.

They don't really seem to hire any juniors.

I have been working at BBH Global full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Working with very creative people on fun brands.

    Cons

    They are technically inept.
The work/life balance requires your work to be your life.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put clear processes in place to avoid department conflicts and misunderstandings.

I worked at BBH Global full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great brand, good place to learn, ability to attract world-class talent. You are surrounded by smart people with lots of success in the industry, so it is good place to learn about the industry.

    Cons

Not very structured for entry-level employees, so need to be self-sufficient/self-starter to advance.

Interning at BBH can be summed up in two words: amazing opportunity.

Former Employee - Barn Intern in New York, NY

I worked at BBH Global as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

You get to work and connect with some amazing people. Barn interns get full access and are even encouraged to interact with people at every level in the office.

    Cons

The only downside I can think of is how sad it is when your internship is up and you don't get to go back every day anymore.

Former Employee - Consultant in Jersey City, NJ

I worked at BBH Global as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Occassional remote access, great team members, very dedicated people at VP and SVP level. Great support from managers when you need them.

    Cons

Lack of cubicles, consultants are huddle in one room where the space is so limited that people are sitted extremely close to each other where their movement is curtailed. Employees do not really have to perform to stay on the payroll. Some really lazy employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Identify useless employees and let them go and retain good talents even if they are consultants.

I have been working at BBH Global as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Being an intern I got to get my hands on a lot of accounts and work on things outside of my concentration

    Cons

I would have preferred not to work on assignments that were outside of my concentration. I wasn't really challenged, I felt like I could have worked on way more things.

    I worked at BBH Global

    Pros

-The barista is wonderful, perhaps one of the nicest people at BBH
    -Interesting work and accounts
-Great vibe to the office and entrepreneurial feel
    -Winner of many ad awards
-Free food and lots of team bonding events

    Cons

It may have been the team I was assigned to but there was a definite lack of communication between teams. Interns either had nothing to do and suffered through a lull or were given tons of work with unrealistic time expectations.
-There were definite cliques throughout the agency and you could differentiate the "cool" employees from the others. Although this agency has won many awards and has a good name, members of the NYC office need to be more inclusive and be cautious about egos getting to large.
-Inefficient meetings that were held too frequently
-Drastic turnover rate and low morale
-Sometimes too laid back to a point where managers praised casual working styles over timeliness and professionalism.
-Hard working individuals and previous staff not recognized

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Good senior management...sometimes you need to keep check on employees who are abusing the cool, casual system going on. Praise is usually given to the loudest and coolest employee rather than the hardest working

I have been working at BBH Global

    Pros

Very entrepreneurial. Good environment to come to work everyday - better than most shops. Would recommend working here over other places.

    Cons

Obviously - there are the typical annoyances of working on any advertising account. Long hours at times, difficult clients, etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I was not employed long enough to see some of the back workings that may have needed help. I think for the most part everybody is pulling weight.
