Pros
Nice place to work in
Cons
Times are not ok, not time for personal stuff
Advice to Senior Management
Take care of time
Pros
The best reasons to work at BBVA Bancomer are that you don't really need much experience, they train you for the job for about 3 days. The job is easy, the customers are real nice, most of them atleast. the pay is ok for starting. I liked the job.
Cons
Some of the downsides of working at Bancomer are that you have to work on weekends. Most managers take advantage of being managers.
Advice to Senior Management
No comment.
Pros
Good to have on the resume. And it is an OK company to start your career and then move into finance departments or treasury at private companies. Good medical / health plan.
Cons
Low salaries, few benefits. The managers runing the Corporate & Institutional Banking Division lack of leadership and coaching abilities. The employes are not empowered and the working morale is low. The working hours suck, especially with workaholic managers who have family issues and expect staff to work 9AM - 11PM and at least half day on saturdays and sundays.
Advice to Senior Management
Bancomer prides itself as a social responsible company, however there is no culture of work-life balance. Invest on training, reward your staff, level the salaries to fair market value, learn to comunicate the vision and mission of corporate & institutional banking division to employees, do better hiring of managers, test their skills, do not promote by frienship, but by meritocracy, and set up a professional guided coaching programe.
