    Pros

I worked for BCBG as a keyholder.

    Cons

Keyholder escalated into an interim store manager after the store manager quit and assist manager was prosecuted for stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.
I was then pushed out by a 50+ year old Assistant Manager who was forced to come to our store because her previous store couldn't stand her.

    Advice to Management

Hire comparable talent and stop treating young adults with bright minds like idiots.

    Pros

During my tenure here, I was immediately immersed into the corporate culture. Tasks given to me were very hands on and challenging. Depending on your supervisor you can be given a large amount of autonomy.

    Cons

There is a clash of culture between business focused employees vs. creative focused employees. There was a great lacking of a common goal.

    Pros

Clothing allowance and employee discount! Product is OK, depending on your taste level.

    Cons

    Flawed structure.

If you work at the NY office and are NOT in sales, be prepared to lose your dignity and self respect. This is not a place that entertains suggestions, so do not bother trying. Bureaucratic to say the least, upper management has so many levels, you WILL have greyed all your hair trying to get past the levels and making yourself heard. This is an organization where unintelligent people thrive just by hanging on to their like. You will be quick to discover that everything told to you in the interview was a lie, and that the organization was essentially looking for a scapegoat to pin the blame on. Those with 5+ years at the company have a say, but are insecure nonetheless. You will also be quick to find out that most employees (at least in NY) have been with the company for several years, and it is no secret why-- because they are bound to fail or to not fit in another organization.

Where it gets really shady is their "one for one" replacement program (not an official thing). When a minority employee (like 3 in an office of 50+ people) leaves, they hire a replacement of the same ethnicity in no time!

PS. How does the NY facility manage to run out of DRINKING WATER for its employees? Too much to ask?!

    Advice to Management

Eliminate the positions you DON'T need. Even if it means the non client-facing roles to accommodate your token/ethnic employees. Use their salary budget to invest in providing basic amenities like DRINKING WATER!

    Pros

HR Department Associates were always friendly, supportive and willing to help and answer any questions.
Interns are also able to purchase BCBG clothes, shoes, jewelry, and accessories at a discounted price. Made me feel welcomed and a part of the team.

    Cons

Internship program is unpaid, but they do give school credit. So far haven't really found other cons.
