Pros – Work-life balance
Good Management
Good Training Programs
Growth Opportunity
Decent Cafeteria food with subsidized cost.
This is good place to start if one is looking to get into medical device company.

Cons – As every company has its' share of issues/problems, BD is no different. However, BD is always striving to look for better opportunity and improve their processes.One of the issues is that BD needs to get rid of people who aren't really adding any value and are there to do below minimum of their job requirement.

Advice to Senior Management – Keep motivating employees by showing/discussing development path for them.

- Good workl/life balance
- Pay is reasonable
- Good benefits
- 401k match *and* pension

Cons – - FDA regulated, so very bureaucratic
- Decisions take a long time to be made and then aren't communicated clearly
- Management won't examine the underlying causes of poor departmental performance.
- Management rewards optimism over competence.

Advice to Senior Management – Do the right thing instead of hanging banners that say "We do the right thing".

Pros – Mostly of workers are friendly.
Worked night shift, there's not much management on duty and its very relaxed and quite .
Workers has very good team player.

Cons – Very bad managements.
Treats contractor disrespectful.
Company has a lot of pervert guys and gossip. DRAMA!!!
Not a pleasant working environment for young women.
Managements looks down on you.

Pros – Smart colleagues. Interesting scientific domain and computer science problems. You're working to improve patients' lives.

Cons – Lots of hoops to get through to initiate change. Heavily bureaucratic.

Pros – Most employees are nice to work with. Weight room available (extra fee), cafeteria with fairly decent food (subsidized, average cost about $6.50 per meal w/o drink), no smoking on premises.

Cons – One of the company values is "doing what is right," but of course it doesn't necessarily apply if it means slowing down production, or when it comes to standing up against internal politics. The decor in the original building (there are three total) is extremely outdated and there hasn't been much effort to modernize it, just occasional replacement of old stuff with the same style. Interior of original building can get quite noisy at times, depending on where you sit. All the money went into design of the two newer buildings.

Advice to Senior Management – Update the original building. Decor is so old it's embarrassing.

Cons – Senior management from Franklin Lakes, Senior management from San Jose

Pros – Work life balance is very good. Normal work hours and very unusual to work on a weekend.

Cons – Company decisions to do almost anything from the most complicated to the most simple take forever.

Worst IT organization I have ever come across. The IT infrastructure costs the average employee at least an hour a day dealing with lousy hardware and software.
