BJ Services Reviews
-
Pros
BJ Services pays average salaries for the industry, which equates to higher than average salaries for the region and/or position. Benefits are relatively good, although not as good as they were 10 years ago.
Cons
Employee appreciation activities used to be a regular thing... annual picnics, afternoon barbecues, holiday parties. This has all fallen by the wayside. The only activity that remains is the annual United Way event, which is MANDATORY.
Due to the company's knee-jerk reactions to negative market trends, no one is secure in their job (except senior management). Key employees have been terminated with no thought of the knowledge that will be lost.Advice to Senior Management
Make lay-offs your last course of action. Offer the employees a chance to help via early retirement, salary roll-backs, unpaid vacation, etc. Don't wait until after 25% of the support staff is gone to start asking how to cut costs.
