    I worked at BJ's Restaurants

    Pros

    Decent salary.
Flexible hours, easy to trade hours with colleages.
Enjoyable place to work, good fun with other staff and managers.

    Cons

Tips are few and far between, but that's expected from a host.
Didn't get a lot of hours, maybe 25 a week during summer.
Job was not challenging most of the time, mainly during the week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Had trouble getting authorised because of my situation as temporary visa holder, but some restaurants need summer staff. Don't make it difficult! My manager hated it!

I worked at BJ's Restaurants part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Fun atmosphere for the most part. The food tastes really good.

    Cons

Too much favoritism that is blatantly obvious and your schedule will reflect accordingly. Cooks have favorites and servers they don't like and will purposely make certain servers orders take forever! Management is less than professional often spewing sexual innuendoes and inappropriate comments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure you are fair to all employees not just the ones you personally like best.
