I worked at BJ's Wholesale Club part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

It's an excellent company to work for at a young age. The company offers review and raises on a bi-annual basis until your 5th year, at which point it becomes yearly. The age is general fairly mixed, which can lead to an excellent cocktail of personalities. The managers in most of the WNY locations are patient. Tire sales was a fairly flexible position to be in, so you could end up doing various jobs throughout the day.

    Cons

If you start out as a cashier, it can be difficult to get past the writeup system at most of the clubs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider extending the transition from shadowing to cashing period for new cashiers.

    Pros

They're very good at working around your schedule. Perfect if you need a second job or are a student.

    Cons

Cashiering isn't the greatest so I wouldn't apply to do that. Need to deal with public so if you don't like it its not the job for you.
