Pros
Competitive pay (for me at least)
Very flexible scheduling
Cons
Nepotism
No financial unless going for a business degree
Pros
Good job if you need something part time, but this is not a company to strive for a career in.
Cons
Many different including favoritism. Issues come up and are dissolved.
Pros
When it came time to go home is the only reason I can think of,because some of the customers were nicer than the management>
Cons
just to mention a few they would work us with no breaks, no water on hot days, if u called in sick they would cut ur hours the next week.
Advice to Senior Management
you guys paint a pretty picture at first but what it boils down to is how much can u squeez from an 8 hr employee,
Pros
Stable company.Good benefits.Free membership.Sundays are time and a half.
Cons
Low pay. Management to busy trying to look good for home office and they have no clue!! Limited opportunity for advancement. And those silly third grade stars for your name badge!!
Advice to Senior Management
Be real!!
Pros
convenience, part time hours, sunday differtial
Cons
low hours, low pay, no praise or employee incentive
Advice to Senior Management
offer bonus and incentives to drive performance.
Pros
As a student, it is a very reasonable job place. It gives great facilities such as vacation money, overtime etc.
Cons
As a cashier, it could be a very hard job with all the busy lines most of the time. Need patience!
Advice to Senior Management
Hire as much as cashier for the front line so customer wont have to wait in line.
Pros
There was a clear job description. There were at least some good people to work with and we had BJ's parties together.
Cons
Treatment when came back to work there. Taken back down in pay and the new people treated me like a child.
Pros
Good benefits, flexible schedule for students, free club membership
Cons
Long hours, rude customers, scanning out bulk items causes back pain
Pros
If you work in the tire section theres no one bothers you and you can take a break whenever you want, during periods of downtime it gets slow to the point where there is absolutely NO work to do.
Cons
If bjs were a government it would be considered ANARCHY, employers are very much under payed and the managers really dont care about what employees think.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire more employers so that one man doesn't have to break his back to do the workload when it gets busy.
Pros
Good work environment. Empowerment in job. Ability to mentor good team members.
Cons
Could offer better wages. Does not hold all divisions to the same standard.
Advice to Senior Management
Create a standard and ensure all levels of the company adhere to it. There are too many highs and lows in execution from division to division.
