    Pros

Products and club changes in merchandise are really great!

    Cons

Since bought by private company layoffs and changes that are very intimidating to some of the employees

    Advice to Management

put an employee into some of the clubs that "no one" knows is working for the board and you will find out a "lot"

    Pros

Staff is easy to get along with. Work well together.

    Cons

Management could be a little more proactive in their jobs and shouldn't place management responsibilities on hourly staff.

    Pros

Some people are fun Pay is pretty good for entry level retail

    Cons

Management treats us like they're better than us Management talks down to us "lowly cashiers" No communication between team members Supervisors at my club are very passive aggressive Hours are never stable FLS and managers have no communication Managers lie just so they don't have to do certain things Customers are very rude Schedule you 5 and 3/4 of an hour just so they don't have to give you two half hour breaks

    Advice to Management

Get your s*** together. Also don't be surprised that everyone is quitting when you treat us like dogs.

    Pros

They provide peanut butter and jelly for all employees so no one will go hungry as well as free memberships to all employees

    Cons

The pay is horrible which in turn is one reason there is a high turn over. The club I worked in was filthy especially the meat dept. Complaining to upper management didn't make a difference. Very low standards

    Pros

Working with fun people. Free membership

    Cons

Management expects you to complete all this work, but refuse to come down and help you. They give you more work than one can handle and expect it to be done. Customers can be very rude

    Advice to Management

    Get it together!

    I worked at BJ's Wholesale Club part-time

    Pros

Over the years I worked there I always was taken care of and the managers always worked hard to make the basic workers life easier

    Cons

There were some difficulties with upper management micro-managing certain aspects of the store asides from this both stores I worked at were very well run

    Advice to Management

It may be a good idea to better screen certain employees for the managerial positions as there were some who needed corrective action taken against them but there was no reprimand

I worked at BJ's Wholesale Club (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers and enjoyed helping customers/members with their memberships and credit card applications.

    Cons

Equipment that we used for our jobs often malfunctioned. For example - PCs,printers, scanners. If you make mistakes you're out of a job. High employee turnover. Low hourly pay.

    Advice to Management

Management really needs to train CS employees in greater detail. I was often left to figure things out for myself.
