    Great place for high performers!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsA relatively small and flat organization, hence great visibility for high performers.

If you are relatively experienced and confident that you can contribute right away, while keeping your eye on the rewards, this is the place for you.

ConsVery little to none in terms of training programs, coupled with very little hand holding. You need a self-starter mentality and sustained high energy level from the moment you join.

    Associate

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsAssociate position good for someone straight out of college. Decent compensation considering the job. Good if your looking to work for a small company.

ConsNot a good fit for someone coming from a structured corporate environment. The atmosphere is an HR Manager's nightmare. Inappropriate jokes and comments. Atmosphere can be unbelievably inappropriate. You can kiss your weekends and dinner plans goodbye.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement should be fair across the board with office policies. Management should also "lift" staff and maintain a professional demeanor.

Management can't manage themselves, much less others.
top level intense drama due to ego trips

Above average pay, above average software, boatloads of politics and power struggles.

    IT Software (Former Employee)
    Chanhassen, MN

ProsAwesome people at the departmental level.
Architecturally sound software with solid development processes and coding standards enforced.
    Pay 10-15% above industry average.

ConsDue to the politics and power struggles it's best to fly low and keep under the radar. Don't over or under perform, you can quickly find yourself in the middle of a bad situation.

Technology in general seems to be considered a nuisance by many in upper management whose focus is on reducing cost via outsourcing without any consideration on quality, standards, process. This will likely cause much pain going forward.

    No cost of living adjustments.

    "Personal" side that's really nice.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsCompany isn't too big that it has lost the personal feel. Lots of flexibility in a "work hard, play hard" type of environment. Not stodgy or stale - a "young" feel, and entrepreneurial. Products and services are good.

ConsThe standard stuff. Some processes are defunct but that would be true anywhere. You need to be a cultural fit - which can be a challenge for new (truly qualified) talent - as there has been some turnover.

Advice to Senior ManagementIncrease HR, internal communications. Appropriate and localized middle management.

Competitive pay scale, the reason most of the upper management is single is because work won't allow for a personal life

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsPay scale was very generous. Benefits for employees were covered by the company.

ConsIt's not a 9-5 job by any means. Every employee was on call 24/7, even during vacations. The company beefed up upper management and laid off several employees due to salaries. The original owners have lost control of the company and is very doubtful it will recover from this. Lots of people have left from parent company and other companies purchased by BMC for these very reasons. It is possible that a bankruptcy company files bankruptcy!?!

Advice to Senior ManagementConsider getting back to your grass roots! Or get the company ready to be purchased at a fire sale by Epiq.

The people are very nice, supportive and helpful.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThe company is a mid-sized global company; the management team is accessible and come from highly regarded, global companies.

ConsThe company has ambitious goals for growth and are now putting in more structure in place including new salespeople.
