Pros
If you get good technologies to work on then atleas you can learn and gain good exp. otherwise no good reason.
Cons
Appraisal process is not very transparent , it is definitely not based on the performance but on all other things, Politics plays very important role.
Advice to Senior Management
Appraisal process is not very transparent , it is definitely not based on the performance but on all other things, Politics plays very important role. Try to improve this.

Advice to Senior Management
Have frequent skip levels and try to understand what employees are thinking.
Implement 360 degree
Pros
Small enough and big enough. Small enough to provide opportunities most couldn't dream of in a large Corp, big enough so that multiple roles and trajectories are possible
Cons
Will work you to death if you let them. 80 pct of work done by 20 pct of the people
Advice to Senior Management
Share your vision. It is likely some of us can help you get there if we know where you are going.
Pros
BMC Software sells some exceptional products, and can address a lot of pain inside of IT operations. The Cloud Lifecycle Management tools are exceptiona, and at least 18 months ahead of the competition.
Cons
Sometimes you see people that should not be doing the jobs that they are in. They are either unqualified, or incompetent, yet they stay and nobody is forcing them to leave. They also do not take many risks, but risk is inherent in innovation.
Advice to Senior Management
Be a bit more focused on the product and the customer, not necessarily the stock price. If the development org is not able to write stable and functional code, then you should consider drastic changes in that area to shake things up.
Pros
Great job security as long as you keep your head down and do your work and wait for bonus to get paid without expecting any job advancement.
Cons
No place to advance one's career.
Advice to Senior Management
Rather than holding employees retained with attractive bonus plan pay them competitive salaries and let them work hard for it.
Pros
benefits are the best reason for working at bmc
Cons
Working long hours and not receiving raises
Advice to Senior Management
management gives mutual feedback
Pros
Some very good, very talented people.
Good inter-team communication.
Some benefits are great.
Some scheduling flexibility.
Some managers are great.
Cons
Egotists and bullies crush innovation and inspiration while management looks on.
Lack of 360 reviews.
Management gives lip service to career development of their teams.
Acronyms do not make good brand names, especially when no one in the company knows what they all refer to.
Advice to Senior Management
Implement 360 reviews.
Make it a review requirement that managers document the career development plans for their people.
Remove the bullies, hypocrites, game players, and layabouts exposed by the reviews.Reward the people who are most favorably looked upon AND who go above and beyond.
Rebrand products with catchy names, not stale boring, hard to remember acronyms.
Pros
i have been around for seven years...for the first time I am feeling a wave of change at BMC Pune. Lot of small small things happening all around. CEO visit was great. CSR update was motivational. Direct access to our own CTO makes us feel important and proud...First time in seven years, I am feeling energized to work here...some really bright people have joined BMC in recent years...keep it up.
Cons
I see a very positive change coming from top down, however lower management still very bad..micromanagement, lack of trust, pulling each others legs are issues...
Advice to Senior Management
more frequent communication from top management
