Good Work/Life Balance...at a cost..

Senior Business Analyst (Current Employee)
New York, NY

I have been working at BNP Paribas full-time for more than 8 years

ProsGood hours and lax environment

Conscomp levels and lack of mobility

Advice to Senior Managementdont let employees get stale in their roles, ie managers stay in same posts for 10+ years removing all ambition from employees since there is no reward (promotion) for hard work.

Some great people but inconsistent place to work.

Analyst (Current Employee)
New York, NY

I have been working at BNP Paribas

ProsNice mix of people work at BNP. Time off is liberal compared to most American companies. Work environment is collegial for the most part.

ConsLower salaries than other companies for comparable positions. Disorganized Human Resources and lack of interest in keeping employees over the long term. Significant turn over resulting from lack of attention to employee needs. Salaries are very inconsistent for the same position.
