Extremely bureaucratic, comp below street. Hard to get ahead if you're not French.

Associate (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsBetter work/life balance than other banks. Good bank to move to if you're at Director/MD level and looking to relax.

ConsBureaucracy everywhere: it's impossible to get anything done. Huge disconnect between French and American employees. Limited opportunity for junior people. Software is archaic.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't expect to succeed in the United States with employees who lack basic English proficiency.

Feels like government job......low comp and good vacations

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsGreat vacation policy. Some opportunities to be promoted because good people don't stay.

ConsVery low comp to a level you are ashamed discussing in any social event. Too many French people but heard better than other French companies.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake your employees understand you are not going to work hard because of the pay, and they should not either just in case they have unrealistic expectation of the compensation.

Senior Business Analyst (Current Employee) New York, NY

    ProsGood hours and lax environment

Conscomp levels and lack of mobility

Advice to Senior Managementdont let employees get stale in their roles, ie managers stay in same posts for 10+ years removing all ambition from employees since there is no reward (promotion) for hard work.

Good place to start a career

FI Structuring (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsNot cut throat environment, good location in the city, very good learning experience, great colleagues, decent in emerging markets.
