I have been working at BNP Paribas Investment Partners full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Generous vacation policy and good medical benefits

    Cons

Poor senior management which trickles down to the bottom. The firm has a very out-dated french mindset that can't keep pace with competitors. The various business lines and a range of different 'partners' show how segregated the company is and it's a simply a reflection of power struggle among senior management people.

    Advice to Management

Integrate all the prior acquisitions, and focus on a core long-term business strategy

    Advice to Management

spend more than one day a year in the branches, preferably when you're not laying people off.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at BNP Paribas Investment Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

BNP Paribas bought us, lied then dumped us and treated the Chicago office like the red-headed step child. The whole experience was very disheartening overall.

    Cons

    The vacation policy was generous.

    Advice to Management

I felt there wasn't any management that cared. To ask for help or clarification with the positions we were left with was pointless.
