I worked at BNP Paribas full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Good pay and excellent benefits

    Cons

No room for advancement, no matter how hard you work and how much extra responsibility you take on. They will just keep you in your current position and salary, but expect you to do more and more work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward hard working employees, even Admins

I have been working at BNP Paribas full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Good hours and lax environment

    Cons

comp levels and lack of mobility

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

dont let employees get stale in their roles, ie managers stay in same posts for 10+ years removing all ambition from employees since there is no reward (promotion) for hard work.

I have been working at BNP Paribas

    Pros

Not cut throat environment, good location in the city, very good learning experience, great colleagues, decent in emerging markets.

    Cons

Bad pay, slow promotions, lack of honesty from HR, lack of strategy, brand name in the US inexistent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management needs to be replaced. Need to stop hiring people from outside on guarantees and pay attention to developing their own people.

I have been working at BNP Paribas

    Pros

Nice mix of people work at BNP. Time off is liberal compared to most American companies. Work environment is collegial for the most part.

    Cons

Lower salaries than other companies for comparable positions. Disorganized Human Resources and lack of interest in keeping employees over the long term. Significant turn over resulting from lack of attention to employee needs. Salaries are very inconsistent for the same position.
