I have been working at BP full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Pleasant working environment, excellent benefits, work flexibility plays a big role, family oriented, career development focus.

    Cons

Too complex processes; not all regions or even countries within same region follow standard processes. Decision making restricted to few upper management, overall poor management with low leadership skills.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep it simple - establish standard processes across all regions. Develop better coaching+leadership mentality across mid-level management.

Moreover you learn from the best traders in the world, something that gives to you very strong foundations

    Cons

You actually need 3 years until you start trading. Moreover you have to sit a test which if you do not pass you either have to leave the company or to choose another role.

    Pros

Really care about the work life balance

    Cons

There is a culture of bullying in some areas that top management are oblivious to and HR don't want to create waves about.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at BP full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The pay and benefits are very reasonable although the defined contribution plan is no way near as generous as the old DC plan. Share match scheme is very reasonable.

    Cons

People jealously guard their expertise and are reluctant to share information. Induction is non existent. Its size means it's very hard to influence. People don't talk to each other if they can avoid it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Improve induction processes.
Listen to people lower down the organisation.
