    Pros

The products are unbelievable and brand is very strong among enthusiasts.

    Cons

Aggressive targets and bonus compensation becomes very difficult to achieve.
Too many product lines makes it difficult to focus on growing all of them simultaneously.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Expand product line for entry level consumer and allow compensation for salespeople to grow at the same pace of the company. I had a situation for several years that sales were going up but since targets were not achieved fully, my overall compensation was suffering.

    Pros

Great work life balance, pay compensatory with experience, innovative, tech savvy, progressive thinkers, talented workforce....

    Cons

Cultural divide(Canadian/American), somewhat pompous attitude toward colleagues at stateside divisions. Favoritism toward own regarding advancement and appointments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider relaxing the aggressive profit targets on products, keeping manufacturing in NA, not ruining people's lives (i.e. Boat Division shutdown)...

    Pros

The small remote office provided exposure to all areas of the department. An outstanding manager made the experience even better. Tasks were delegated according to talents and interests, no micro management, but always available for support. Coworkers were great and benefits excellent. Life life balance was great.

    Cons

Being a satellite office with only a hand full of people getting promoted was difficult even if the work done was far beyond the job description.

Great Pay and Bonus. Lots of free lunches.

    Cons

To get a promotion you must be a yes man does not matter how hard you work or how much you know.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote on merit not on sucking up.

    Pros

    Great benefits is about it.

    Cons

It is seasonal work that depends on "boys buying their toys" for a living. This means that if there is a bad quarter, then you have a good chance to be thrown out the door.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the revolving door because you are leaking oil badly. And please quit using the "reorganization" slogan.

    Pros

Professional environment in which everyone was generally treated well an fairly - which created a positive and upbeat environment in which to work.

Generally, upper and middle management were very good at supporting the efforts of those at the staff level. It was there that I reported to the best boss of my life (and I've been blessed with really great bosses!).

    Cons

The US division is managed by the Canadian corporate HQ, so it often felt like a family company in which the Candidan members received preferential treatment.

The company's ability to face and deal with change was sporadic - sometimes good and sometimes atrocious.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Overcommunicate. Even bad news communicated early and fairly is better received than rumors. Keep up the Boat House meetings - they support employee morale.
