    Disorganized and Unprofessional

Senior Consultant (Former Employee) New York, NY

Pros- Among the delivery consultants who have not already left, there are many talented and dedicated professionals who take good care of customers.
    - Many layers of ineffective management have been weeded out. There are some promising managers emerging.
    - The company still enjoys a good reputation in some markets, but most of that is based on expectations that are no longer realistic.

Cons- Too many timid, ineffective and unprofessional middle managers remain.
    - The top down delivery of management platitudes have little bearing on the real work that gets done.
    - IT systems are cumbersome and often inaccessible. Recent upgrades to the new and improved systems are no better.
    - Compensation is flat and gets no attention after initial hire.
    - Performance reviews are arbitrary and have little to do with anything related to actual accomplishment.
    - Very modest bonuses are always way below target and based on some vague corporate performance metrics that were never adequately defined.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe new leadership appears to have some promise. Fire any managers who worked for INS unless you are certain that they are on board with your new direction.

    ProsPay, vacation, benefits, travel, food

ConsManagement, culture, work environment, lack of continuity and organization throughout, every employee complained of the lack of direction and poor management

Advice to Senior ManagementBecome more aware of the lack and beat down of morale that occurs, and change the environment to support employees.

ProsDecent benefits, better than average paid time off. Opportunities to learn. True global environment. Telecommuting is encouraged. Flexible work hours to accommodate foreign customers and colleagues.

ConsSenior management asks for feedback and then does not listen to the comments. Americans always at risk of their job being eliminated in favor of Europeans.

Company in search of an identity in the US

Finance Director (Current Employee) Los Angeles, CA

Prospretty good benefits, generous vacation policy, multi-cultural global company, OK pay

Conslack of top level leadership, not able to focus and stick to a strategy, trouble breaking the code in the US market

Advice to Senior Managementpick a strategy and keep focus on it instead of constantly changing direction and re-organizing.

Culture of the company is currently being redefined

    Senior Consultant (Current Employee)

ProsVery flexible work environment with multiple consulting gigs utilizing remote consultants with limited travel.

ConsDirection of the company is in flux. Multiple recent management changes including a recent (End 2012/Begining 2013) staff reduction. Many talented consultants are leaving for other opportunities, many of which pay better. Pay raises are on hold indefinitely.

Advice to Senior ManagementDefine what the vision is and share a plan to move forward. Ensure you are incenting your sales force to sell that vision.

    Team Manager

    Team Manager (Former Employee)

ProsPaid vacation time. Work hour flexibility.

ConsBT is a big bureaucratic organization and nothing gets done in a quick manner and right. Benefits used to be great but have been decreasing annually. Senior management is short sighted and solely focuses on meeting their own bonus objectives for their own personal gain. Superficial short term objective achievement is norm and no one seems to have a long term vision.

    Most Unprofessional Company - Ever

    Consultant (Former Employee) Boston, MA

    ProsPay was fairly appropriate
Network engineers were intelligent coworkers to have

Cons~20 years behind the times in stuff like HR ethics and stds. for managers
Reactive, not proactive management, i.e., 'seat of your pants' management
No clear upper management line of site to departmental goals
Poor communication on down the line, resulting in lower rungs cleaning up messes incessantly
U.S. employees have suffered massive layoffs in the last year as this is a global company and staffing is less expensive almost everywhere else, i.e., probably not the place to think you have career longevity if you are US based

Advice to Senior Managementsee "Cons" above and correct this situation. Appears deck chairs have changed again so I do not have an opinion on this specific person below; former execs get a thumbs down.

Terrible culture, management through fear and intimidation. Very "British", hierarchical.

Worker Bee (Former Employee) San Antonio, TX

ProsBT Group UK has cash to float faltering Global Services for a while longer.

ConsInept management throughout. Broken systems throughout. Losing customers day in and day out.
