I worked at BTIG full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Very good compensation. Great quarterly bonus. Free lunch and great people to work with. Lots of perks. You learn a lot.

    Cons

Working East Coast hours when you're on the West Coast. Long hours from 5:30am - 3:30pm.
No matter how hard you work it doesn't seem to be enough. Very stressful environment work with traders. Management expects a lot of you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give praise more often for those who works hard.

SF office - A nice place to have a job, a terrible place to build a career

I have been working at BTIG full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Catered lunches, reasonable pay, good bonuses, great location in the Transamerica Pyramid financial district, New York market hours, benefits are okay...but geared toward mid to later career traders/ upper-middle to upper class incomes

    Cons

Only hires extremely overqualified candidates, absolutely no career growth, a lot of micromanagement, no 401k retirement contribution for employees, not a place for early career - young people will work hard and be expected to carry more of a workload than their tenured coworkers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in your employees and let them grow with the company, promote from within- it builds morale and encourages both teamwork and healthy competition... Else, you will continue to lose extremely intelligent and competent young employees
