Pros
Good people to work with, opportunity to advance if you want to. Intelligent, pleasant people. You can challenge yourself as much or as little as you want.
Cons
Not many. I think the lack of salary increases this year may have ruffled feathers.
Advice to Senior Management
Some political wankers. Bit like airbus. Otherwise good.
Pros
If you want to live in Devon and be involved in big engineering projects there's not much else in the way of competition.
Cons
Lack of competition with other employers in the area means that wages are lower than the national average for similar work. And it's not as if living in the South West is particularly cheap. Housing costs, utility bills and transport, for example, are very expensive. Also great reliance on Ministry of Defence and Royal Naval work means that future workload can be changed at the whim of the government, which leads to much uncertainty.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep talking to the workforce. Effective two way communication can make or break a business.
