    Pros

Many paid holidays, flex hours during Summer, beautiful place to work. Each branch of the school definitely feels like a small community. Perks such as the free gym/pool use are great.

    Cons

A ton of silos within the college, pay is lower than other schools in area, hard to get to if you live in Boston/Cambridge. Senior leadership is reluctant to change and very bureaucratic, which stands in stark contrast with the "entrepreneurial" spirit that the school is supposed to have.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach! It has simply floored me since my first day here how slow-moving and stuck the management seems. As a day to day job Babson is great, but I am definitely somewhat skeptical about the future of the school.

    Pros

love working with students, great mission, beautiful campus and resources

    Cons

departments keep to themselves - not lots of sharing of resources or ideas - lots of behind the scenes politics - most of the people were great, but a few of the key people were awful to work with and made it a difficult and stressful place to work

    Pros

Working at Phonathon was great: the bonuses are amazing. The base pay is only $9.00, and the minimum shift requirement is 2 shifts per week (at 3 hours per shift). This nets you only $54 a week, and $108 per pay period (2 weeks). However, the bonuses are great. You can easily make $170 after bonuses. The most I have ever made was $220 off 6 shifts.

    Cons

    There were not many cons.

    Pros

Lots of room for creativity and opportunity to tackle interesting and challenging work. Lots of opportunities to get involved with various committees and initiatives across campus to expand your network.

    Cons

May take time to learn the ropes depending on which office you are in many people are overworked and stretched due to high touch nature of admin-student relationships so not a lot of time for training newbies.

    Advice to Management

Focus on big picture - not the details.

    Pros

    Excellent overall Benefits package
On average 17-18 paid holidays for full-time workers
    Nice work life balance
A creative and innovative atmosphere with a strong emphasis on collaboration between departments

    Cons

While decent, the overall salaries may not be as competitive as other colleges in the Boston and Cambridge markets. The athletic center benefit is great but what lacks is access to a decent number of cardio machines.

    Advice to Management

The "listening sessions" conducted by the President have been well received and cause employees and departments alike to feel valued and voices heard.

    Pros

Direct Manager was amazing and the faculty was a joy to work with. The faculty is knowledgeable and learned all the business experience on the job, rather than from a text book. That's what really makes Babson unique as a college.

    Cons

The administration is absolute crap and there's so much red tape and general bureaucracy that it's really not worth it. The constant turnover in leadership is disheartening and does not create a good example or cohesive student body.

    Advice to Management

Quit now before the administration sucks out your soul. If they've already sucked out your soul, then leave because you are quite literally making Babson a worse place.
