    Pros

Small company with huge potential growth upside. No micro managing. Fun company culture. Products are great and industry leading. People are overall great to work with.

    Cons

Due to size not much potential for promotion and workload can be overwhelming at times.

    Advice to Management

Continue progress with improving company culture and be sure to recognize employees for their hard work and achievements.

I have been working at Baden Sports full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun industry with energetic young professionals. Free parking, ok benefits and easy commute. Other than that not sure what to say.

    Cons

Pay is low. Family run with little interaction with others in the company. Poor, erratic decision making leads to non-sustainable business model.

    Advice to Management

Work as a team with others inside Baden. Recognize the efforts of the warehouse and sales staff and the value they bring to Baden.

I worked at Baden Sports full-time

    Pros

There are nice and friendly people at work communicate with. Going and having lunch, break time and coffee with. Also, their is pot luck parties that are fun and other get togethers that are also fun. You can get days of paid time off, so you can take vacations and go to other events. Other thing good about work were, making projects and staying busy when need to be. When you wanted your projects done on your free time you could get them done. Example= Projects like Christmas cards, posters, flyers and others. Good company to start out with at entry levels position.

    Cons

At Baden Sports it is hard to move up to a higher level. Maybe start off there at entry level position would be good, but staying for a period of time could be hard, because not going anywhere. You feel like you would want and deserve to move up to higher levels because you put in your time and effort into it. When you are working two times as hard as other workers, a lot of the times slackers get a easy ride in life. Most frustrating thing about work was wanting to move up to higher levels and not going anywhere, so better leave entry level position.

I worked at Baden Sports full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Awesome sports ball products and accessories. It was fun working in the sports industry, being proud of your products and selling to retailers, schools, team dealers, etc.

    Cons

Poor management team, particularly at the top. This has led to a high turnover rate for sales, accounting and warehouse staff.

    Advice to Management

Need to show better appreciation to all employees and pay market rate salaries. Ultimately, you get what you pay for.

I worked at Baden Sports full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Competitive pay, opportunities for career growth & advancement, PTO, overall fun environment & good people to work with, flexible hours (for some positions), lots of variety, opportunities for cross-training & learning new skills, potential for the company to really take off with new product development

    Cons

Lack of support from management, many employees are overworked without help, unbalanced workloads, employees are kept out of the loop

    Advice to Management

Provide opportunities for employees to share their concerns without fear of reprimand for their honesty. Many employees were not happy but experienced that nothing would be done to improve things or they worried that they would be punished for voicing their concerns. Encourage more teamwork and make sure workloads are evenly distributed. I saw many employees spending hours a day socializing and goofing off while others were in tears from being so overwhelmed by their workload. Make sure you are aware of what your employees are doing and what they're responsible for so they are not overwhelmed. Keep employees informed of what's going on. Word spreads quickly so you may as well make sure they're getting accurate information rather than rumors. Find ways to compensate employees for jobs well done. Even if a small raise is not possible, a paid afternoon off here and there can make a big difference. There's a lot of great employees there with a lot of potential. Make sure you are nurturing and growing your team continually and you'll have a powerhouse. Don't hang on to those who are consistently lacking or toxic to the culture; they will bring the whole team down and cause the good ones to leave.

I worked at Baden Sports full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers are always willing to help out and friendly people, office culture, working in sports, friendly customers, many long time employees, CEO who cares

    Cons

Goals and being out of stock with items was frustrating and the occasional defect or problem which gets a rude response from customer. Never enough time to get everything done.

    Advice to Management

Make the employees feel like you care

    Pros

Steady employment, built in customer base, great for people with a sports background. Great co-workers and office environment. Strong senior leadership.

    Cons

Low pay. Small ticket items that don't add up quickly. Not much opportunity for advancement or growth within the company. Larger competitors offer similar products and far lower prices making it difficult to compete.
