    Pros

    Amazing people and strong culture

    Cons

Like any consulting firm, you do end up on cases that you don't like or want

    Pros

    - Fantastic benefits (e.g. 3 months paid maternity leave)

    - Great perks (e.g. free breakfast, Angie's List membership reimbursement, flex time options, annual global soccer tournament)

    - Wonderful, witty colleagues who are there to challenge and support you

    Cons

    - Not as much support or learning & development opportunities for administrative staff as there is for the consulting staff, especially in smaller offices with fewer admin

    - Not as much opportunity for career growth for administrative staff as there is for the consulting staff

    Advice to Management

You have made a fantastic place to work (and a hard one to leave). With a little more support for the admin staff, it would be a phenomenal place to work.

    Pros

Great people, strong culture, excellent resume builder. The environment is competitive but not cutthroat.

    Cons

Not a sustainable work/life balance in any way. For most people, it's a sprint for two or three years followed by a burnout. Clients have become more an more savvy about how to best utilize consultants, and they work them to the bone.

    Advice to Management

Your culture is great so keep investing in it. Try to find a way to make the job work for people with families.

    Pros

    - You get to work with smart, driven people (on the consulting staff).
    - The benefits are great overall.
    - The culture is often fun and inclusive to all "Bainies," not just consultants.

    Cons

    - Salary is low for EA / MA's compared to that of other high-profile consulting firms.
    - HR will often look outside of the firm before promoting one of their own, in part so they can low-ball a new hire.
    - HR tends to micromanage the assistant team.

    Pros

Great culture, decent work-life balance, smart people. Interesting work that only gets more interesting as you move up.

    Cons

Sometimes long hours. At lower-level consulting roles, the work is not always as interesting as it is for more senior members of the team.

    Pros

Fantastic place to work with smart, fun people. Being able to test out different industries and types of cases helped me figure out my passion and senior leadership supported me when I went after it.

    Cons

Hard to get ownership, difficult to predict your life 6 or even 3 months in advance. A generalist firm, so can be difficult to specialize.

    Pros

There is so much to learn from Bain even on the non-consulting side. Lots of opportunity for professional growth and finding your own path. Also allows great flexibility for part-time without sacrificing opportunities

    Cons

Long hours, availability sometimes required needed across time zones

    Advice to Management

Thanks for the commitment to keeping a strong culture and exceptional standards
