I worked at Bain & Company full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Bain truly values and invests in their employees. While everyone works hard and is held to high standards, performance is recognized and feedback is always helpful and constructive. Fun events are planned through out the year for all employees to attend. Excellent pay and benefits.

    Cons

Depending on your role, there can be a lot of travel and long hours, but I do feel its worth it. Promotions are typically given on a set track- so even if you're a superstar, you'll probably have to wait until you've been there a set amount of time to be promoted.

I worked at Bain & Company full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Bain excels because of its emphasis on professional development and creating a collaborative, fun environment. Yes, everyone works hard, but they're also people you'd want to have a drink with after work (or while traveling). Most importantly, there's plenty of training, mentorship and both formal and informal feedback to help you achieve your long-term career goals, whether they be at Bain or elsewhere.

    Cons

As is the case with most consulting jobs, there is a decent amount of unpredictability in staffing, hours, and travel.

    Pros

The mentorship and attention to your professional development is unparalleled. People at Bain really care about you and want you to be successful both during your Bain tenure and afterwards. Alumni relationships are important to Bain and your Alumni network is perhaps even more valuable than your time at Bain itself.

    Cons
