Pros
Good salaries, OEM, Indian Work culture
Cons
Work timings: 8 to 5.30 n 2-3 sat off others are half day and sunday off.
Lack of standardization, Lack of quality work and guidance
Advice to Senior Management
Minimize variants maximize quality. Don't play with earning brands. Scooter segment is eagerly waiting for Bajaj launch.
Pros
Bajaj Auto is a company where there is plenty of opportunity to learn and grow. You are given freedom and good exposure in the company. Performance evaluation is transparent & if you strive hard you definitely get rewarded.
Cons
Being a private ltd. enterprise, the competition is at your tail all the time.
Too much of lean management and cost-cutting going on.
TPM seems a mere formal nuisance at times.
Very few working procedures, rules/changes happen for good, for make things more stringent and complicated.
Advice to Senior Management
My current boss is smart and chilled out. Almost all the time, rational and logical.
Would appreciate if we got more time and freedom to analyze and take our own decisions in projects. Need to focus and work on core issue that benefit the organization, not just to please senior management.
Pros
Get to do a lot of things yourself.
Cons
Dissatisfied with organisational culture. Work content needs to be defined at every juncture.
Advice to Senior Management
360 degree feedback
Pros
Great exposure, independence in disseminating your work responsibilities, depth of business in IB, business growing with extremely fast growth rate. Got a lot of international exposure, travelled to 7 countries in Latam over a period of 1 year.
Cons
work hygiene is very low, performance and rewards are not transparent, growth is limited and depends on the number of years completed. no medical insurance (in todays world), employees dont get discounts on buying Bajaj products.
Advice to Senior Management
Improve employee benefits, revision is salary as per industry standards, better travel policy, more respect and recognition for employees., faster product lifecycles.
Pros
Good work life balance. Set timings and proximity of accommodation to office.
Cons
Leadership is very old minded. Inertia to any kind of change. Good efforts go wasted and lot of politics in bonus. Your work has no effect on your promotion and it is time based so you don't have any motivation to work hard. Also the compensation package tells only half of the story.
Advice to Senior Management
Leadership should start valuing their employees. Not just the senior management but also executive level employees.
Pros
high salary, high level of responsibility
Cons
overtime, too much lean system
Advice to Senior Management
improvement on unseen areas
Pros
Nice hostel and nice food nice swimming pool
Cons
low pay and away from city
Pros
The compensation is good compared to other companies.
Cons
1) Substitute working days in lieu of national holidays. That mean you have to work on sunday if 15th August fall on wednesday. Straight 9 working days after that.
2) No training and knowledge transfer to freshers from college. Learning is slow and painful with seniors who do not want to share knowledge.
3) Based on your departments, you are paid different compensations even when you come from same college and joined together as GTE. Quite embarassing situation.
Advice to Senior Management
1) Put some check on senior managers and treat employees like humans
