I have been working at Baker Hughes full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    - depend on your supervisor, you could have a nice work/life balance or all way around, luckily my supervisor is a nice one
    - great technology
    - a lot of support to develop through many training

    Cons

    - please take more time to appreciate the employee... good peoples are leaving the company because of lack of reward
    - need a better bussiness strategy and consistency to make it a real "world class service company", especially in Indonesia.
    - too many cut in no of employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Even if you have a cheap contract you should do and support the best for it. Dont sacrifice your front line people (field crew) because the contract is cheap while in the other place peoples are well supported because the contract is better.
    - invest more in people and equipment.
    - Need to kick out some people thats not worth to keep.

I have been working at Baker Hughes

    Pros

The base salary will be slightly bit better than competitors.

    Cons

The day rate and meal allowance is not good.
Local management can treat you bad.
There are policies but not everybody knows.
Little or no appreciation on the good job being done.
Golden boy rules is a bad thing.
    No salary increase.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Appreciate your employee.

    I worked at Baker Hughes

    Pros

    - Non stop learning curve (but this also if you are proactive by yourselves to always find something new for you)
    - Nice salary
    - Career path that give you opportunity to move cross department, cross country much more easy and fast if compared to other company.
    - Travelling

    Cons

    - HR is really not working at all. Accepting people without proper education and experience. Only based on information from current employee.
    - HR promoting people not based on performance but based on connection with current bosses. So as long you make the right connection, you will definitely climb up the ladder.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just one thing. Change the HR structure and way of work. Automatically will wipe out all the non performers from the company. People stay doesn't mean they are loyal, they cannot sell themselves to move out from the company.
