    Pros

    average pay, relaxed working environment, work is not stressful if you are an employee.

    Cons

    Managers have really heavy workloads since the company has cut off many team leads positions; some manager manages 30 to 80 people, so prepare to work at nights and weekends. Constant politic change and structure change.

    Leadership can not get out of immediate reaction mode and organization lacks inspiration. No work-life balance as there is little regard for employees.

    Pros

    Meaningless solutions from an ineffective management

    In order to create the impression that personnel issues are being addressed, (or wait...customer Gasp! issues for that matter) upper management sets up a committee to investigate specific problems and suggest solutions. But the results are based on the premise that the employees aren’t very sophisticated and can be easily appeased, and the flaws will be discovered. Input from employees is discounted or ignored and clueless managers rely on their own misapprehensions. Because the process is dysfunctional, the results are meaningless.

    Let’s say, for example, that a committee is formed to investigate low morale and declining productivity. But since the workplace is toxic, the committee won’t have the authority to investigate the ineffective management. Even worse, the management may be on the committee. Or the committee must first report to a high level executive who is one of these idiots (“Well, our surprising conclusion is that you are the cause of declining morale.” No, I can’t see that happening either.)

    Since they must ignore the impact of their ineffectiveness on morale, they instead turn to “creative” ideas. Perhaps they find some popular solution to “make employees feel better about themselves.” This could include a patronizing “Extra Special Person” award, meaningless interdepartmental competitions or irrelevant offsite training seminars (“As soon as everyone learns proper time-management techniques,” they tell one another, “productivity and morale will go way up. We’ll even give them free planning notebooks.”) All of which detract from the real things that demand attention, like say uhmmm I don't know.....customer satisfaction? Operational excellence?

    Anywhere you see this happening, its a direct reflection of a management team that has no clue what they are doing, and they solution these problems by micro managing what they cannot understand for themselves.

    If this sounds appealing, this is your place.

    Cons

    Management fads / Revolving Doors

    Executives in this toxic company often overcompensate by adopting faddish management approaches, as if propaganda is an effective tool to overcome reality. The result may be aggressively promoted company values that don’t seem to match day-to-day events.

    For example, clear communication is preached in elaborate seminars while poor communication continues to be the norm. Valuing and respecting customers and employees is publicized in the company mission statement, or on framed motivational posters in the break room, but undermining and belittling others seems pervasive. Everyone is told to make company goals their first priority and adopt a spirit of teamwork, but internal competition dominates. Worst of all, the most consistent violators of company values are the most highly rewarded.

    Topics are meaningless / A smokescreen of brilliance

    In this workplace, those who dominate meetings seem to prefer to discuss vague platitudes instead of underlying problems. They focus on theory rather than dealing with reality. By ignoring the real problems facing the company, they fail to accomplish anything of substance. The main impact of meetings is the loss of productive time from your day. Your dominant thought as you leave tends to be “There’s an hour of my life I’ll never get back.” However this all looks and sounds great, so as long as its glossy, well presented, dressed nice and sounds educated....the beat goes on. Peel the onion back though.....nothing there.

    Red Tape

    So much of it, the service equipment looks (big) red......maybe by design?

    Advice to Management

    A toxic work environment usually begins at the top, either through negligence or lack of character and integrity, usually stemming from a naive discounting of the importance of how employees are treated, and how customers are serviced.

    Wonderful people to work with if not management, great new facility.

    Cons

    HR does nothing about retaliation. Supervisors can do whatever they want. You have to submit to Houston, local hr wont do anything.

    Advice to Management

    Start over in Williston, it might have a chance. Get rid of the rest of the managers there. Communication is a big factor. Starting at the top of pressure pumping.

    Pros

    Competitive compensation. Good Top Management. Good infrastructure.

    Cons

    Good Top Management. Illiterate junior managers. Poor resource and poeple management by junior management. Very bad culture, the rednecks have runied the atmosphere atleast in the OKC office. Managers in this office have hired relatives to benefit from the employee referrel program. These new hires take up vacancies that should have been filled by graduates. Poor organization.

    Please hire educated and capable junior management.

    Pros

    They do care about their customers but planning is failing across the board.

    Cons

    Poor management if that is what you call it. Poor planning, barely functioning. Some are great there, but management is clueless on how to really manage a team. Destructive team culture is allowed to thrive.

    Advice to Management

    Implement new technologies better, do some real management of personnel, routes, etc.

    Pros

    It used to be a great company to work at, very good environment, great people, training, meeting different cultures, good management.

    Cons

    Last for years the company has lost decency, honesty, respect for the employees, too many layoffs very badly managed by HR and Legal managers.

    Advice to Management

    Take time to visit the geomarkets and interview the employees but not the managers, they are questionable in many places, you'll be surprised of what a terrible company BHI has turn into.
