I worked at Baker Hughes full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The people I worked with were the best part. They also had decent medical coverage and the stock purchase plan was a nice perk. We also received end of the year bonuses.

    Cons

Worst part was office politics and the way management treated employees like a number. Also didn't care for the prescription plan.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If layoffs have to be made, discuss with employees prior to making a selection for who gets cut. I had the most experience as an engineer in our shop and still got laid off. I felt like upper management didn't really know what I was doing for the company on a day to day basis and they let me go based on my title and salary rather than finding out who was integral to their team.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
