    Pros

A good variety of work and experiece is available here. They are keen to promote from within, and have regular on-going staff training.

    Cons

Salaries are bottom of market rate and annual pay rises are a rare occurrence. Senior management do not appear to care for staff retention.

    Pros

You will be inheriting an international brand name.

    Cons

Poor salary, bad work-life balance, lack of teamwork, you'll have to bring your own personal laptop to workplace and office.

I have been working at Baker Tilly International full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    1. If you like a company's portfolio with involving charities, NPO (Not-Profit Organisation), VWO (Voluntary Welfare Organisation) and ceremonial/religious organisation then probably you get the necessary exposure to this area of expertise.
    2. Lesser competitive in terms of workload
    3. Get to work with different combination of colleagues and not with just that fixed group of people
    4. TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) treatments are claimable under medical claims (at least currently)
    5. Provides annual training to all levels to improve competencies and technical knowledge

    Cons

    1. Salary is always one notch below big four and some other mid-tier (similar) companies
    2. Average to steep learning curve
    3. Expectations are very different from job to job and from manager to manager
    4. High staff turnover

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1. Be more generous on salary and learn to appreciate the staffs more will help.
    2. Be more generous with awarding overtime preventing staffs to be so easily exhausted and sick from working there.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
  7.

I have been working at Baker Tilly International full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Treats employees more than just economic digits. Plenty of opportunities to travel, learn and be exposed to different industries and cultures. Flat-hierarchy, freedom to question and contribute.

    Cons

Limited variety of assignments, although this is quickly changing. Processes and learning can be slightly more structured, again something that is fast improving. Weak on Seniors and Mentors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the great work!

    Pros

There is very good career progression opportunties within the company and there is also impressive salary growth.
The excellent pension plan is an added bonus.

    Cons

The recording of time by units can at times be a slight pain, however this is consistent with all other accountancy firms within the industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is potential possibility of winning clients from the big four as well as the focus on owner managed businesses.
