Pros
The place was awesome to work at and wish I still was. Work-life balance was happily respected by all and it really felt like the co-workers were an extended family. One of the greater things was that management was not focused on billable hours like most firms. The goal was to get the job done on time, and that happened. They were very family friendly and when you needed time off you pretty much got it no questions asked.
Cons
The worst part was busy season which sucks for all accounting firms and really is an expected devil when you're in public accounting.
Advice to Senior Management
Shouldn't have sold out the firm.
Pros
There is very good career progression opportunties within the company and there is also impressive salary growth.
The excellent pension plan is an added bonus.
Cons
The recording of time by units can at times be a slight pain, however this is consistent with all other accountancy firms within the industry.
Advice to Senior Management
There is potential possibility of winning clients from the big four as well as the focus on owner managed businesses.
