    Pros

There are so many pro's to working at Baker Victory Services. I love what I do and the people I serve. You get paid to do a lot of things you enjoy.

    Cons

I just wish there was more pay and a higher frequency of raises. The state cut funding drastically and that put a slight halt to raises with the company. Some houses were sold.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work

    Pros

Great experience at the direct care level. Was a great organization under the previous CEO. They preach open communication but are not prepared to follow up when concerns are brought forward.

    Cons

Some of the leaders lack integrity. Need to watch your back. Honesty & integrity don't play well here. It's all about who you know, and who you can manipulate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Baker Victory Services full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I enjoyed being part of an organization that genuinely cared about individuals and families that we served while providing good quality care. Also, working for an agency that take pride in helping employees grow and advance their careers was fulfilling to me.

    Cons

The inability to take some of great ideas from frontline and use it to increase employee engagement across the agency.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Involve frontline staff in some of the decision making.

    Pros

The residents are fun to work with (you'd hate to leave them) and the staff are mostly fine and dedicated. House managers are all right, some are nice and hardworking.

    Cons

The people who run the agency should be removed and replaced. They are clueless about handling and managing staff and making them feel wanted and needed (the "Sanctuary Model" notwithstanding, it is merely feel-good propaganda.)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To upper management (ranking higher that program Coordinators). Either resign or get back into direct care for a while to see what the agency is about. You are too removed from the real work of the staff.
